Fine British Jazz Guitarist/Bassist/Composer, currently residing in NY. Alisdair was my classmate in the graduate music program at Purchase College. In addition to his high jazz acumen, he is an authority on African music. |
Carl Barry is a great jazz guitarist & Joanne is a wonderful jazz singer, & they are my dear friends. Over our many years of playing together Carl & I have developed an almost telepathic rapport. Carl is all about the MUSIC. |
Dan is a great guitarist who I have known since high school. One day he was playing bass in a country rock band with me, & the next day he seemed to have simply awoken as a jazz guitarist. They don't call him "Dangerous Dan" for nothing! |
Jonny Johansson is a fabulous guitarist, originally from Sweden, now of NYC. He plays a 9-string guitar of his own design, fingerstyle, and is a groundbreaking musician. |
Rob is equally brilliant on violin & bass. He is violinist with the "String Trio of New York" & "The Mahavishnu Project", & performs with me @ 107WEST on both instruments. |
Matthew Harris is a superb contemporary composer. Check out his website for current recordings & upcoming performances of his beautiful compositions. Matt is also a lifelong friend & colleague. |
Don Price is a great jazzer from the left coast & a chill dude w/ a radical website... |
Peter is one of NYC's finest jazz guitarists. I have known him since he was a student in Jack Wilkins' jazz guitar history class at Manhattan School of Music, & I was there fairly often to soak up the sounds & stories. He went on to be a semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk Jazz competition-perhaps the most prestigious & difficult of it's kind. He currently holds forth every Sunday evening 8:00-11:30, at 'The Bar Next Door' at 'La Lanterna di Vittorio' on MacDougal Street between West 3rd and West 4th in NYC's Greenwich Village.
